GUNHILD CARLING dalla Svezia
accompagnata dai SAVOY SPRING JUMP ALL STARS
Di ritorno da un tour americano, Gunhild Carling suonerà per la prima volta a Roma.
Artista a tutto tondo, Carling è conosciuta per essere una grande interprete del trombone, oltre che cantante, polistrumentista e performer. Le sue doti strumentali vanno dalla tromba alla cornamusa, i suoi concerti sono veri e propri spettacoli in cui la musica è accompagnata da pezzi cantati e ballati.
Gunhild Carling sarà accompagnata da una band che riunisce grandi talenti del jazz italiano, sotto la guida dell’ “Ambasciatore dello Swing a Roma” Giorgio Cuscito, musicista e arrangiatore.
Tra i componenti della band ci sarà Bepi D’Amato, clarinettista che vanta illustri collaborazioni e master class sia in Italia che in altri paesi, come Stati Uniti e Germania. Inoltre è tra i pochissimi musicisti italiani ad aver suonato da solista nella sala grande della Carnegie Hall a New York.
La sezione ritmica della band è composta da Gino Cardamone alla chitarra, Giuseppe Talone al contrabbasso e Alberto Botta alla batteria.
L’evento è inserito all’interno del festival “Savoy Spring Jump” che si terrà a Roma dal 21 al 23 aprile 2017, che prevede workshop di ballo con insegnanti internazionali.

Ma non finisce qui!
Prima del concerto lezione aperta a tutti con Mertcan Mert (TR), ballerino turco che insieme a Ramona ha vinto un primo premio alla più importante competizione internazionale che si tiene ogni anno negli Stati Uniti: ILHC (International Lindy Hop Championship).
Ovviamente si continuerà a ballare dopo il concerto con le selezioni only swing dei dj: LALLA HOP – DJ ARPAD – FRANCESCA DE VITA

Lo Swing All Night Long! è giunto quest’anno alla sua 9° edizione.
Nasce il 30 ottobre del 2008 da un’idea di Lalla Hop, quella di unire a Roma la musica e il ballo swing in un’unica serata, sotto lo stesso tetto, nella stessa pista.

present a big concert and unique event:
GUNHILD CARLING from Sweden, and the SAVOY SPRING JUMP ALL STARS
back from her American dates, Gunhild Carling is playing for the first time in Rome!
Carling is a well rounded artist, she is known for being a great trombonist, singer, multi-instrumentalist, performer. Her talents cover a great range of areas, she can play trumpet as well as bagpipes, her concerts are shows with music and dance pieces.
Gunhild Caling is playing in Rome with an “all star” gathering great talents of the Italian Jazz scene.
The Savoy Spring Jump All Stars members are: Giorgio Cuscito, tenor saxophone, musician and arranger, he is”the Italian Ambassador of Swing”.
Bepi D’Amato, clarinet, is a university master class teacher in Italy, Usa and Germany. He is among the few Italian musicans who has been playing at the Carnagie Hall in NYC.
The rhythm section of the band consist of Gino Cardamone on guitar, Giuseppe Talone on upright bass, Alberto Botta on drums.

The party is the opening of the SAVOY SPRING JUMP festival-. The event is taking place on the 21.23 April, and it includes workshop and parties with international teachers.

A registration desk will be available at the entrance of the venue, for picking up wristbands for the workshop and party pass.
Before the concert we offer a free taster class with MERTCAN MERT (TR) winner of a first place with Ramona Staffeld in one of the most important international competitions, the International Lindy Hop Championship in the Usa.

“Swing All Night Long” is at its ninth edition. It was born in October, 2008, from Lalla Hop’s idea of putting together swing music and dance under a same roof, on the same dance floor.
