Policoro in Swing è un Festival unico al mondo dove musica, ballo, vela, sole e mare si muovono allo stesso ritmo.

Policoro in Swing 2019 “special edition” si svolgerà dal 18 al 26 agosto . Sarà un tributo al film “Cotton Club” di Francis Ford Coppola.
Vivremo tutti insieme l’atmosfera del Cotton Club.

Se Policoro è l’Harlem del sud, Sailor jazz café è il suo Cotton Club.

Policoro in Swing si caratterizza per:

– DANCE CAMP: con un numero elevato di insegnanti di caratura internazionale per i workshop che coprono i più importanti balli swing: jazz solo, lindy hop, blues, balboa, shag, boogie woogie e Tap Dance (l’ultimo arrivo)
– SAILOR JAZZ CAFE’ : uno spazio per i concerti in programma ma anche le jam session o improvvisazioni con musicisti nazionali e internazionali presenti durante tutta la settimana. Sarà come vivere l’atmosfera del Cotton Club.
– BLOWING IN THE SWING: regata velica a tempo di swing, evento unico al mondo, con musicisti e ballerini che veleggiano insieme.
– PARTIES e AFTER PARTIES: feste con musica dal vivo tutte le sere, gli after parties fino al sorgere del sole in un clima di serena socialità e divertimento.
– UN ANNO IN SWING: concorso fotografico aperto a tutti i partecipanti a Policoro in Swing

Policoro in Swing is unique, it’s the place where music, dance, sailing, sun and sea are “bouncing to the same tune”.

The Policoro in Swing 2019 “special edition” will take place from 18th to 26th August. It will be “Cotton Club” movie tribute.
We will live together the atmospheres of the Cotton Club.

If Policoro is the Southern Harlem, Sailor Jazz Café is his Cotton Club..
.
Policoro in Swing is:

– DANCE CAMP: with a large number of international teachers for the workshops which will cover swing dances form jazz solo, blues, balboa, lindy hop, shag, boogie boogie and Tap Dance (last arrival)
– SAILOR JAZZ CAFE’: It’s a space for scheduled concerts but also for the jam sessions or improvisations with national and international musicians during the entire week. It will be like living the atmosphere of the Cotton Club.
– BLOWING IN THE SWING: sailing regatta at the rhythm of the swing, the unique event in the world, with musicians and dancers sailing together.
– PARTIES and AFTER PARTIES: Parties with live music every night, three dance floors on the beach, after parties till sunrises in an atmosphere of sociality and fun.
