Summer Jamboree on the Lake

Dal 22 al 25 giugno 2023, torna a Lugano per la sua II edizione il Summer Jamboree on the Lake, il Festival Internazionale di musica e cultura dell’America anni ’40 e ’50.

Promosso da Lugano Region, con il patrocinio della Città di Lugano, anche quest’anno Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 farà risuonare il cuore del Ticino con il Rock’n’Roll più sfrenato.

Dopo il successo dell’edizione 2022 che, ha richiamato migliaia di appassionati dal cuore dell’Europa, il Summer Jamboree on the Lake si preannuncia con un carnet delle grandi occasioni.

In 4 giorni di evento ben 90 ore di musica tra DJ set e bands, anche in contemporanea, nelle varie location; 15 straordinari concerti a ingresso gratuito di Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop, Western swing;
86 artisti coinvolti, tra musicisti, ballerini, performer e DJs protagonisti di un cast stellare fatto di icone del genere e di star attuali di una musica che vivrà per sempre, a cui si aggiungono 54 ore di dance camp e boot camp.

La “Hottest Rockin’ Holiday on Earth” è quindi pronta a superarsi, conquistando ancora una volta il centro di Lugano e il suo lungolago.

La programmazione del Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 sarà animata da un ricco cartellone di grandi concerti ad ingresso gratuito, distribuiti nei due palchi di Piazza Riforma e Boschetto Ciani, a cui si aggiungono Record Hop con DJs internazionali dal mattino a notte inoltrata presso Piazza della Riforma e Parco Ciani.

Non mancherà il Vintage Market a Piazza Manzoni, con espositori selezionati di abbigliamento vintage, scarpe, accessori, oggettistica e riproduzioni, modernariato e memorabilia da collezione, insieme ad aree street food & beverage in Piazza Manzoni e a Parco Ciani.

Si aggiungeranno tanti altri eventi e progetti pensati per rendere omaggio ad un’epoca straordinaria e ispiratrice, come il Car park per auto americane pre 1969 sul Lungolago.

E ancora, tantissimi spazi dedicati al ballo: tra lezioni gratuite per imparare a muovere i primi passi e immergersi nelle danze Swing e Rock’n’Roll e il Summer Jamboree on the Lake Dance Camp: una full immersion dedicata all’apprendimento dei balli Swing e Rock’n’Roll con alcuni tra i migliori ballerini della scena Swing e Rock’n’Roll internazionale.

A presentare il festival quest’anno, due artisti eccezionali, già padroni di casa del Summer Jamboree 2022 di Senigallia: il performer e coreografo Russler Bruner (USA), e la pioniera del Bump&Grind in Italia, Bianca Nevius (ITA).

Al Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 prenderanno parte artisti internazionali che stanno scrivendo la storia del Rock’n’Roll, raccontata in tutte le sue declinazioni musicali: R’n’R, Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop, Western swing. From 22 to 25 June 2023, the International Festival of 40s and 50s American music and culture returns to Lugano for the II edition of the Summer Jamboree on the Lake.

Promoted by the Lugano Region, and with the patronage of the City of Lugano, Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 is ready to make the heart of Ticino resound with the rhythms of Rock’n’Roll for the second year in a row.

With 4 days of Festival frolics, 90 hours of music including DJ sets and bands (at times simultaneously) in various locations; 15 extraordinary free concerts featuring Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop, and Western swing; 86 artists including international musicians, dancers, performers and DJs that make-up a stellar line-up of today’s and yesterday’s most important and popular stars of a musical genre that will live forever, and not forgetting of course 54 hours of dance camp and boot camp.

The “Hottest Rockin’ Holiday on Earth” is revving its engine, ready to conquer the center and lakefront of Lugano with the magic of Rock’n’Roll.

The Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 presents a prestigious programme of incredible free concerts (upon stages in both Piazza Riforma and Boschetto Ciani), alongside Record Hops with international DJs from morning till night at Piazza della Riforma and Parco Ciani.

And the event wouldn’t be complete without a Vintage Market in Piazza Manzoni with select exhibitors and vendors of vintage and repro clothing, shoes, accessories, collectables and memorabilia, Street Food & Drink areas in Piazza Manzoni and Parco Ciani, and many more events and projects designed and intended to pay homage to a most extraordinary and inspiring era.

Like for example the Classic Car Park for pre-1969 American cars along the lakeside

and the numerous opportunities for dancing: including free lessons that teach the basic steps and give a tantalizing taste of what it is to dance Swing and Rock’n’Roll, and the Summer Jamboree on the Lake Dance Camp that offers a full immersion into the world of Swing and Rock’n’Roll dancing with some of the best international dancers on the Swing and Rock’n’Roll scene worldwide.

Presenting the festival this year are two exceptional artists that also graced the stage of the Summer Jamboree in Senigallia in 2022: performer and choreographer Russell Bruner (USA), and the pioneer of Bump&Grind in Italy, Bianca Nevius (ITA).

The Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 will feature a host of international artists who continue to write the (living) history of Rock’n’Roll, as told in all its musical forms: R’n’R, Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop, and Western swing. Music that over the years has become a cult, passed down from generation to generation, ever current, and ever able to bridge the gap between the ages.

Vom 22. bis 25. Juni 2023 findet in Lugano zum zweiten Mal das Summer Jamboree on the Lake statt, das internationale Festival für Musik und Kultur der 1940er und 1950er Jahre in Amerika.

Das von Lugano Region unter dem Patronat der Stadt Lugano organisierte Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 wird auch in diesem Jahr das Herz des Tessins mit dem wildesten Rock’n’Roll zum Klingen bringen.
Es wird also nicht an der ansteckenden Energie fehlen, die seit jeher die Visitenkarte des Festivals ist, das vor 22 Jahren in Italien in der Region Marken geboren und «aufgewachsen» ist und heute als europäischer Bezugspunkt für alle Liebhaber des Genres gilt.

Nach dem Erfolg der Ausgabe 2022, die Tausende von Fans aus dem Herzen Europas anlockte, verspricht das Summer Jamboree on the Lake ein Carnet voller großartiger Veranstaltungen.

An den vier Veranstaltungstagen gibt es 90 Stunden Musik, darunter DJ-Sets und Bands, auch gleichzeitig, in den verschiedenen Locations; 15 außergewöhnliche Konzerte bei freiem Eintritt aus den Bereichen Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-Wop, Western Swing; 86 beteiligte Künstler, darunter Musiker, Tänzer, Performer und DJs, in einer hochkarätigen Besetzung von Genre-Ikonen und aktuellen Stars der Musik, die für immer leben werden, plus 54 Stunden Tanzcamp und Bootcamp.

Der «Hottest Rockin’ Holiday on Earth» ist also bereit, sich selbst zu übertreffen und erneut das Zentrum von Lugano und sein Seeufer zu erobern.

Das Programm des Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 wird durch ein reichhaltiges Angebot an unglaublichen Konzerten mit freiem Eintritt belebt, die auf den beiden Bühnen der Piazza della Riforma und des Boschetto Ciani verteilt sind, sowie durch Record Hop mit internationalen DJs von morgens bis spät in die Nacht auf der Piazza della Riforma und im Parco Ciani.

Außerdem findet auf der Piazza Manzoni der Vintage-Markt mit ausgewählten Ausstellern von Vintage-Bekleidung, Schuhen, Accessoires, Gegenständen und Reproduktionen, modernen Antiquitäten und Sammlerstücken statt, und auf der Piazza Manzoni und im Parco Ciani gibt es Street Food und Getränke.

Darüber hinaus wird es zahlreiche weitere Veranstaltungen und Projekte geben, die einer außergewöhnlichen und inspirierenden Epoche huldigen, wie z. B. der Parkplatz für amerikanische Autos vor 1969 am Seeufer.

Auch dem Tanzen wird viel Raum gewidmet: Es gibt kostenlose Kurse, um die ersten Schritte zu lernen und in die Swing- und Rock’n’Roll-Tänze einzutauchen, und das Summer Jamboree on the Lake Dance Camp: ein komplettes Programm
zum Erlernen von Swing- und Rock’n’Roll-Tänzen mit einigen der besten Tänzer der internationalen Swing- und Rock’n’Roll-Szene.

Du 22 au 25 juin 2023, le Summer Jamboree on the Lake, Festival international de musique et de culture américaines des années 1940 et 1950, revient à Lugano pour sa 2e édition.

Promu par la Région de Lugano, sous le patronage de la Ville de Lugano, le Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 fera cette année encore résonner le cœur du Tessin avec un Rock’n’Roll endiablé.
L’énergie contagieuse qui est la marque de fabrique du festival depuis toujours, sera à nouveau au rendez-vous. Né en Italie dans la région des Marches il y a 22 ans, il est aujourd’hui considéré comme une référence européenne pour tous les amoureux du genre.

Après le succès de l’édition 2022, qui a attiré des milliers de fans de toute l’Europe, le Summer Jamboree on the Lake offre une programmation exceptionnelle.

Pendant les quatre jours de l’événement, 90 heures de musique sont proposées dans différents lieux. 15 concerts extraordinaires et gratuits de Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop et Western swing et bien sûr des dj’s triés sur le volet. 86 artistes renommés se produiront, des musiciens, des danseurs, des interprètes et les DJ. Un casting incroyable d’icônes du genre et de stars contemporaines de la musique, auxquels s’ajoutent plus de 54 heures d’ateliers de danse et de boot camps.

Les “Hottest Rockin’ Holiday on Earth” sont prêtes à se surpasser et à conquérir une fois de plus le centre de Lugano et les rives du lac.

Le programme du Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 sera répartis entre les scènes de la Piazza Riforma et du Boschetto Ciani, auxquel s’ajoutera le Record Hop avec des DJs internationaux du matin jusqu’au soir sur la Piazza della Riforma et le Parco Ciani.

Il y aura également le Vintage Market sur la Piazza Manzoni, avec des exposants sélectionnés proposant des vêtements, chaussures, accessoires, objets de collection originaux ou des reproductions soignées.
Les espaces de restauration sur la Piazza Manzoni et le Parco Ciani seront à votre disposition.

De nombreux autres événements et projets seront également organisés pour rendre hommage à une époque extraordinaire et inspirante. Le Car Park dédié aux voitures américaines d’avant 1969 sur les rives du lac

et de nombreux espaces consacrés à la danse : des cours gratuits pour faire ses premiers pas et s’imprégner des danses Swing et Rock’n’Roll, ainsi que le Summer Jamboree on the Lake Dance Camp : une immersion totale pour l’apprentissage des danses Swing et Rock’n’Roll par les meilleurs danseurs et professeurs de la scène internationale.

Cette année, le festival sera présenté par deux artistes exceptionnels, déjà hôtes du Jamboree d’été 2022 à Senigallia : le performeur et chorégraphe Russle Bruner (USA) et la pionnière du Bump&Grind en Italie, Bianca Nevius (ITA).

Le Summer Jamboree on the Lake 2023 accueillera les artistes internationaux qui écrivent l’histoire actuelle de cette musique, déclinée dans toutes ses nuances musicales : R’n’R, Swing, Country, Rockabilly, Rhythm’n’Blues, Hillbilly, Doo-wop, Western swing.
